"Kitty" Update
Mr. Big's lion cut is quickly growing out. I'm sad about it. I liked his short do. Up to this point, he's been amazing around the baby. But, we've been pushing the limits lately. Emmett is on the move doing a half zombie crawl and his favorite thing to go after is the "kitty." Mr. Big is a slow learner and he lets the baby corner him. The other day E got a handful of kitty fur and received a hiss in return. Hopefully, kitty will smarten up soon and learn to go to higher ground when grabby hands gets close.
No one can make Emmett laugh or smile like Mr. Big can. He knows who "kitty" is and can point to the kittens when we read Goodnight Moon. I don't even think he knows my name, so that's saying something. We clearly talk about the kitty more than we do mommy. Oh, and Big knows he's not supposed to sit on the baby's things. As you can see, he's a real rule follower.

Friends
We we're lucky enough to spend an afternoon at Chambers Bay with a few of our favorite friends. As usual Sam & Saylor came bearing gifts for Emmett (he still loves the bucket, friend) and the best chocolate chip cookies that I've ever had. Seriously. I ate three of them.
We miss you Karey and Jon and wish we could spend every weekend with you. Move home already!

Seven Months
Can I please have a do over? I want my maternity leave back, so I can take it now. Seven months is pretty great. I speed walk home from work everyday in my suit & tennis shoes because I can't wait to see my little Emmett.

Bird Watching
Our new favorite "beach spot" in Manette is right next to the local eagle hangout. They've been there in the tree each time we've gone. I've become slightly obsessed with watching them and trying to get a good picture. I annoyed Jordan all afternoon with eagle questions. Do you think they sleep like that? Is there a nest up there? Is that an eaglet? Can they see Emmett? What if they swooped down and tried to grab him? Even with my obnoxiously big camera lens, it's hard to get a good shot of them.
