Year of the Dragon

Happy New Year, Chinese New Year that is. To kick off the Year of the Dragon we got up early on Monday morning to do our annual Monkeyshines glass ball search. If you haven't heard about the Monkeyshines, then you're really missing out. A crazy group of artists hide glass balls all around Tacoma, sometime around the Chinese New Year, and if you find one it's yours to keep. We've looked for the past 6 years and so far we've been lucky enough to find either a ball or a medallion. If you're intrigued, you can read more about it here.

This year Jordan found a dragon ball on 6th Avenue near a fire station.

Jordan also found a Beautiful Angle poster (he's extra lucky this year apparently).

And, finally...our good luck charm in his monkey pj's. We're really bad parents and woke Emmett up early to bring him on the hunt with us... but he also got his first visit to breakfast at the Hob Nob.

Happy New Year!
